Cell Block Theatre

The Cell Block Theatre was originally the women’s prison in the Old Darlinghurst Gaol. The sandstone building features soaring ceilings and a state of the art lighting and sound system. This versatile space provides the perfect blank canvas for any event.

Technology

The standard Cell Block Theatre Public Address System consists of a full range L’Acoustics line array and a Yamaha QL1 digital console with 8 input channels available on the in-house audio network.

For larger channel counts and extra flexibility, a Yamaha QL1 digital console with RiO rack.

The comprehensive lighting system has control via a GrandMA3. The theatre is also equipped with an extensive rigging system with truss movement controlled via Kinesys.

Lighting Packages

Gold

The Gold package includes use of the entire Cell Block Theatre's state of the art lighting system.

Silver

The Silver package accommodates some changes in lighting states during your event to bring mood and drama.

Bronze

The Bronze package allows for a single lighting state for the duration of your event.
